At Gomersal Primary School, we believe RE helps children gain a deeper understanding of each religion which enables them to become increasingly accepting of the faiths that are celebrated in our world. The multiplicity and ethnicity of each religion makes the world a rich place. RE helps young people develop their beliefs and values as well as promoting virtues of respect and empathy that form an integral part in our diverse society. It also provokes civilised debate and reasoned argument to aid children’s understanding of the importance of religion and belief in today’s modern world.
